I offer translation, editing and proofreading from Spanish, French and Italian into English. I hold an MA in Translation and a BA in English Literature. I have lived and worked in Spain, Belgium, Italy, China, Colombia, Poland, Canada and the UK. I also offer English language training and I have vast experience of teaching to all levels of ability, having obtained a Cambridge CELTA qualification in 2009. I work from the beautiful city of Perth, in the heart of Scotland, with clients from all over the world.

My business, Profluentia, combines the experiences gained in the language industry since 2009 as an English language trainer, translator, proofreader and editor. Ever since I was a child, I have been passionate about other cultures and languages. Before going to school I ate breakfast with an atlas in hand dreaming of Latin America and learning Spanish! This passion has contributed to years of dedication to learning languages and honing my professional skills.

After years of working in the sector, I recently obtained an MA in Translation (with Merit) at the Open University, UK. My final project was an extended translation and commentary on the translation of a popular Spanish piece of nutritional writing. I am open to projects in all areas of translation. I use CAT tools to ensure translation consistency. My tools of choice are SDL Trados Studio, Memsource and SmartCat.
